They were able to compete right along with the other girls. In fact, as far as modeling goes, these Teens were some of the very few who actually could! I do think Hunt looked VERY nice in EG, but I also think a few others did as well. Sowards wore the same black EG that I've seen her wear a few times, and she looked good in SS although her ribs were distinctly showing. I've picked my winners based solely on last night's performances, and none of them have been mentioned here. I won't mention them either because I don't want to elicit any kind of negativity at all for them. I think the teen winner, though, might be someone new to the pageant scene. My own daughter's hobby is competing in pageants and it has brought her from being a shy, tongue-tied little girl, to a well-spoken young woman who isn't intimidated by anyone. Also, my daughter was never good at sports and so pageantry was something that she could participate in. I say go for it ladies. Subject: NC STATE BOO BASH 2009: PRELIM TITLE HOLDER BEHAVIOR DISGUSTING

According to this person our representative to the Miss NC was seen publicly drunk, kissing males and females and humping the DJ and dancing on stage provocatively. What was I supposed to say to this person. They looked at me and said "guess your girls are catching up with the USA girls!" I told this person I did not know what was going on and I was sure this young woman would be held accountable and responsible for her actions. There were pictures on FACEBOOK of this public display. This "girl" obviously did not think about how her actions would embarass the city and community that she supposedly represents. So, I would like to know why this behavior was ignored? Has she already competed at the state pageant or does her title take her there next summer? If she has already been, let it go since she will soon be a former. If she is going next summer, perhaps you could approach her director instead of posting this on a message board. Name your top 20-25 girls from this past decade ONLY that you would have loved to see compete against each other, all in one monster of a pageant. They could have been beautiful, and/or talented and/or have a rockin body or just plain unbelievable all around women. I don't think there is another board, for either OTs or Misses. Girls are totally responsible for themselves. There are people back stage who will help dress, make sure they have on everything they're supposed to and that kind of thing, but each girl has to do her own make up and hair. -- No name, 19:05:59 11/12/09 Thu the OT stay in hotel with parents so they can get ready before they are dropped off for the evening, but once they ared ropped off they can not have any help except for pageant helpers provided -- No name, 01:35:21 11/13/09 Fri Because the OTs stay with parents, they can use a H/M artist to help them before they get to the pageant venue. So people loose interest when they think things aren't right in Denmark, so to speak. I , for one, think their is a lot of (I'll be nice) UNNECESSARY stuff that goes on and the caliber of contestants has fallen because of all of this, as the caliber of most of the girls who were contestants in years past have gone on to more productive and career minded oppurtunities. Judges aren't going to be sitting there thinking they've seen the gown before; they'll be looking at the poise, confidence, and elegance you display in your gown. Re: Nowhere in the contract that comes from MA for either the local or state competition does it state that you cannot be engaged. It states that you cannot be or have ever been married. Some locals may have an amendment to the state contract that says that you cannot be engaged or display an engagement ring in public but if they do they should not because that amendment is not supposed to contradict anything that is in the contract sent from MA to the states who in turn send it to the locals.
