Maybe UNC-P should not be in the system. Know for a fact that other locals have requested to appoint their OT and they were denied . ONLY UNC-P gets to do this in the whole system. Perhaps they should simply have Miss Pembroke and Miss Pembroke's Outstanding Teen Pageant. That way the UNC part is left out of it. If UNCP wants to provide an in-kind scholarship to the Miss contestant then they can. If UNCP wants to donate a location, they can. If not, take it somewhere else in the community. Have you ever been to a UNC-P pageant? The whole student body is invited . I think admission is free for them. ..and if they can't hold a teen pageant right aling with the Big Miss pageant because they can't have non-students up there, then why are they allowed to have the teen and princess queens entertain. This whole thing is hog wash ...... they have a deal and this is what you see. Too bad for the other franchises. I guess if UNC-CH and UNC Charlotte and NC State, etc. etc. etc. were to come into the system, would they be allowed to appoint , as well ? -- No name, 15:09:30 10/29/09 Thu
