Subject: Oh my gosh! I just had a thought about tonight's episode (spoilerish - and for BtVS/Ats fans)

Didn't Lindsey say that the apocolypse was UNDER Angel's nose all along?

The episode was called "Underneath"...

From beneath you it devours?????

I thought what Lindsey was saying was that the world is slowly going downward, blah, blah, blah...you know - like how people sometimes say we're all headed toward the apocolypse because the world is going downhill, etc., etc.

But what if, especially since Spike is a player in all of this, the apocolypse has to do with the First? After all, didn't the First target Angel before anyone else? And we know that as much as the First could be temporarily defeated, it can't be wiped out - it's part of the make-up of the world. Seems to me it could be behind the senior partners - it would have to be, wouldn't it?

Please, when you answer, be careful about your spoilers - I know a bit about what's coming up, but not everything.
