Subject: More Than Self Esteem Will Save Angel

When I first saw the ad for this show I groaned figuring this would be the stupidest episode ever, but I should have had faith in Whedon, I LMFAO!. Where can I get an Angel puppt? Yeah Im a guy but so what it was funny as hell seeing Angel done Crank Yanker style. All that was missing was the Wanda Sykes voice over.
I also have to say right on for finally setting up Fred and Wes, these two belong together but if this the swan song season for Angel probably one or both probably has the proverbial and literal ax coming.
I also want to comment on Gunn. He' never been my favorite character. I'm always suspicious of any kind of selling out in favor of good story telling, and don't tell me he wasn't brought in to bring in black viewers (like Enterprise this is the white show on UPN) like turning Willow lesbian brought in the guys, hell it's what made me watch. But Gunn grows on you. I was surprised to see him sell himself out so quickly. "I'm not going back to what I was" and the doc's crack about him being "ignorant street muscle". His character was more than that, he was an organizer and a leader and definately made a clear choice to steer clear of the gang life even if he didn't see any other option for himself other than on the street. Maybe with the Vegas episode it shouldn't be to surprising at him being willing to sell his soul and give the Lex Luthor crap about how in the end he's doing the greater good.
I'd like to see the firm brought down in the end in one big righteous explosion, with the powers that be wiping out the memories of the people watching on tv (why the hell didnt' they do this when Connor's daughter was doing her world takeover number?) and Gunn in the end choosing to go down with the ship in some grand gesture of redemption that requires his sacrafice. If this is the end and not being able to read Whedon's mind maybe he's been gearing for Gunn being the first in a line of the others being captured by the firm, slowly and over time and they come to a point where they decide they have to leave to save their souls and get back on the high road and do the big bang number.
As for Connor, I'd hate to see the whiny litttle shit back but since his dad works for LAs most prestigous law firm how about having Connor get busted for getting caught in the middle of something and since he's still a minor Angel uses the firm's pull to bring him in his custody?
Definately Buffy needs to be in the final episode, Id love to see the triangle play out.

Vin
