Marcia, WE, the Walds, and the Eliases, and Stolbachs were the only people from Parkchester in the Bronx, and we never owned Dutchess. I remember every summer for years, Dutchess would just wander up from out of nowhere---I don't even think she stayed with Miltie or Mama Schreiber. I can still see her, a Great Dane mutt with a stubby tail, and all us kids loved her. She used to walk with us when we cwent on hike's past Warman's bungalows. Remember how the Chassids at Watmans used to throw stones and crabapples at us when we came down the road after passing S.G.S.? I remember one summer you went to California in the middle of the summer and I thought it was such a big deal. I remember you too so well--we lived right across the lawn from each other's bungalows
