So I just got a new dog and named her after one of my favorite dogs ever, Dutchess the boxer at Schrieberville.
And actually 40 years or so later it occurred to me she was probably named after Dutchess County, not a royal Duchess.
Anyway I was there for 5 or six years in the early 60's.
Passed by a few years ago to check the place out and show my wife. Still all there but quite dilapidated. The Butterfly bungalows still stood, the casino was collapsed in the middle, and the one time so majestic pool was in ruins.
However, they were all still there.

We were warmly greeted by 2 Hassidic brothers who claimed to be starting a life's work of restoring the place.

I live in NYC and still play paddle ball almost every week.
A game I learned to love at Schrieberville.
