Subject: Regarding DDN Feb. 25 story about internet bullying
“Don’t whine! Get offline and go outside!”
In today's [Sunday Feb. 25] Dayton Daily Snooze, I read an article about internet bullying; teenagers were upset about being pestered on the net and in brat-chat rooms. Oh, this story was soooo serious and sensitive and empathetic and sympathetic! Within this story was same old PC psychobabble prattle about what to do [boohoo], and what a problem it was because some of those [dumber] sensitive pestered cyber-children had committed suicide and it affected their grades and mental health and happiness. As a 20th century man [who bought his first computer in 2,000…at the suggestion of a better editor], I just had to ask: "Where are the parents?" Turn it off and get offline and go outside and do some chores or help out around the house or do your homework or read a book! You might even try to write! On the net, everybody can be or are anyone or anything they claim or want to be, including “Speak Up” message boards and brat/chat rooms.

P.S. Unlike the Old Cold Warrior, the Duke of Hazard, and
anonymous [imaginary brave make-believe] cyber-people,
pesky posters, young dumb punks who like to insult adults, and these PC police, I do not have much [writing] time to waste in cyber-space, to play with or worry or pout or shout about imaginary “friends” and “enemies.”
