Jamie est le seul à rêver de ses petits enfants. Claire dit d'ailleurs dans une ses lettres qu'elle l'envie. Jamie doit avoir la capacité de "voir" dans ses rêves (et pourquoi pas avec une projection astrale, comme celle où il regardait Claire à travers sa fenêtre alors qu'il rêvait d'elle dans la prison) les gens qu'il aime et auquel il est attaché.
