After announcing the Top 5, the candidates were made to choose a piece of paper with the name of another candidate in the Top 5. The person they choose will give them a question and the Judges will rate them according to their answers. Mr Escalante chose the name of Mr. Jimalalud in which Jimalalud asked the question, "What adversities in your childhood, made you become a stronger person today." Escalante did not give a good answer and he knew it. Coincidentally, when it was the turn of Mr. Jimalalud to choose a candidate to ask him a question, the name he randomly chose was Mr. Escalante. To retaliate and make sure Jimalalud will also falter (hopefully to give Mr. Escalante a better chance in the Top 3), Mr Escalante gave the question, "How can you describe the color blue to a blind person." The crowd was in shock with the relevance of the question in a pageant. Some of the organizers even wanted to ask Mr Escalante to give a more appropriate question. Instead Mr Jimalalud in all confidence took the mic and said, "If i were to describe the color blue to a blind person, I would take that blind person by the hand and let him feel something cold, like ice. And whatever sensation he feels and whatever images comes to his imagination I would tell him that this is the color blue." The audience was amazed with Mark's answer and applauded with much gusto. That's Mark Fabillar. That's the King of Negros 2006.
