Mississippi State's uniforms, including the helmet, had gold trim for their Egg Bowl game against Ole Miss yesterday.

Not helmet-related, but this is interesting:
On one end zone (the left) was printed a Twitter hashtag in order to generate discussion about the Egg Bowl. Is this the first time a major college team has put such a bold move on a football field?

My understanding is that this is the 1st time that anyone has put a twitter hash tag on a field. My wife is a MSU grad and she read all about it is how I know.
