I do look forward to seeing them, too. Chuck, I know you'll do a bang up job when completed!

Can anyone provide links to PHOTOGRAPHS (not artwork and not movies) of the new Lions and Jaguars helmets? (sorry if someone did this previously while I did not have internet access - I've looked through the old messages somewhat and didn't see what I was looking for). Thanks!

And am I correct in thinking that the "new" 49ers helmet is just a return to the old 1962-1995 (or whatever the years were) design? Thanks again!

Here is a picture of the Jaguars helmet:

And here is the Lions helmet:

As for the 49ers, I'm not entirely sure, but I think that the only difference between their new helmet and their '64-'95 helmet is that there is a space in between the red oval and the black outline, creating an additional gold ring. Here is a picture of it:

I hope that's some help to you!

thanks for the pictures!

As for Jacksonville, I believe it would be prudent for me to wait and see the helmet on TV before I attempt to draw it. I kind of got the impression that the photograph you linked to may have been a deliberate attempt to bring out the green color in the helmet shell, and that it may actually be more subtle under normal lighting conditions.

You're welcome!

You're right about the Jaguars' helmet. From what I've seen of it, the helmet only really looks teal when light is shined directly at it. When not in direct light, the helmet looks black for the most part.
