To be fair, all the different looks from last season were with the same black helmet shells. Only the decals were different, and I can't imagine those are very expensive.
But it is pretty surprising that they've gone and ordered a whole new set of helmets for these throwbacks. I would assume they would hang on to these yellow shells and use them as an alternate look, perhaps with different decals as well.
