Me either. They don't stand a chance against any team in the Gulf South Conference as far as I'm concerned.

The thing that gets me though, is how they were able to schedule these teams in the first place. Evidently SBC (Shepherd Tech) had joined the NCFA (National Club Football Association) for the 2012 season. This means they are (or were) planning on playing as a club football team.

As far as I know, no club football squad can play a NCAA varsity team (they can schedule JV squads however). My brother used to play for the U of M - Flint football team (club). He scheduled games this year against the JV squads of 2 NCAA D3 schools & 1 D2 school.

What I don't get is how COF (formerly SBC) was able to schedule these NCAA D2 varsity programs, unless they've been allowed to by some Act of God. This truly befuddles me.

Note: other NCFA teams have also played aforementioned JV teams as well as schools entering NAIA in the next year. (Concordia University Ann Arbor - 2010, Siena Heights University - 2011) They have also played JuCo Squads (Alfred State College), 1 D2 independent as far as I know (North Greenville) and have been asked to play NAIA independent squads. (Ave Maria, Haskell Indian Nations) I'm sure there may be more, but those are ones I know for sure.

Like Oregon Tech if they have the club team played some NAIA and NCAA schools in the reason. Radford's club team played a D-3 school a couple of years ago, and so forth. I have seen them doing this, plus the club teams that I have seen played JV teams like Clemson, South Carolina and so forth.

Yes, that gets really confusing sometimes, when club- or JV-level teams are not clearly identified. I was expecting to see that the games involving the team we are discussing here (College of Faith) would be against JV teams from Arkansas-Monticello, West Alabama, etc., but that does not appear to be the case.

Since I am a grad at Arkansas Tech, and my team played the Gulf South conference teams at the time. I know for sure none of the Gulf South or Great American schools have JV teams. Army, Navy and them have JV Sprint football which seems to be others. Post University is claiming the Sprint football team as a sponsor sports. I see that some schools do claim their club teams as a sponsor sport but not part of a full blown NCAA program which new orleans and South Alabama have, and teams that the school does not sponsor the sport. I know Radford, IUPUI and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville all seemed to be proud of their club sport which they could add the sport in the future.

Me neither. I guess I can see why COF would schedule the game ($ for playing a road game, opportunity to play a decent "real" team) but why would, say, West Alabama schedule the game? Did they not check on the status of the COF team? What does UWA gain other than a very probable win? Will stats from the game count as far as the NCAA is concerned? Will a (probable) win vs COF help UWA reach the playoffs? Why wouldn't (say) UWA and Arkansas-Monticello just play each other (maybe because they both wanted a home game)?

Exactly. I am utterly confused. We'll just have to see how those games play out. The results will bring the truth to light.

The club teams that the schools play do not count towards a win or a loss in the rulle books I think. Even NAIA schools could not count them either.
