Nah, rumor is that its for next weekend vs. UNLV (homecoming for BSU). Today BSU is going to announce the fan color scheme for next week's game and all signs are pointing towards a blackout, with the team wearing all black too.

The helmet in that picture is a fan concept from about a year ago, but apparently the real helmets are almost identical to that.

Sitting in the stands right now. BSU is wearing the blue procombat helmet. The blackout isn't today.

Confirmed: Boise State will wear matte black helmets next week vs. UNLV
