I would appreciate if you can identify the nickname of the sports teams at D.C.T.C. I am an alumnus and on my class ring there is a COUGAR and the colors are Maroon/Whie or Maroon/Grey. Wondering if you can verify information. Been in DC all my life. I nor any of my friends can remember. Thanks in advance for your reply.
UDC (later UDC) was an amalgam of DCTC (the previously segregated Miner and Wilson Teachers Colleges) Washington Technical Institute, and Federal City College.
Federal City were the Panthers. Not sure about WTI.
Federal City/UDC played D-II football in the 1970's before they dropped the team.
District of Columbia Teachers College Team Nickname
