Wow, that would really be interesting to see. Wichita State was one of those teams that I thought would probably never in my lifetime have a football team again.

Since the trend in recent years has been more towards starting football teams rather than dropping them, I wonder if we might see some other defunct teams resurrected in the next few years, particularly the many defunct California teams.

Long Beach State AD said a couple of years ago that they might bring football back and join the MWC.

There are student movements at both Northridge State and Fullerton State to bring football back.

Cal-Irvine, who never had football, AD said recently for their school to keep up with the other sister schools in the system, they may have to start football.

East Bay State have plans online to revive football.

Rumblings about Sonoma State, Chico State and others to restart as well.

Cal-Riverside might re-think about exploring it soon.

California is losing top students to other schools outside of the state that have football. So, anything is possible.
