Army West Point: AAA-AAA-AAG-AAH (G=“A” with a white shell; H=17 Army branches)
Brigham Young: All 13 games were normal
Notre Dame: 11/21 was the Shamrock Series helmet: gold shell, leprechaun head, blue right half and green left half stripe, blue right half and green left half mask, http://www.und.com/view.gal?id=186535; all 12 other games were normal

Well, another crazy year of alternate helmet designs has come to a close. There are now more teams with alternate helmets than without, so until the next trendy helmet designs take place or the NCAA limits the amount of designs in a season, these alphabet-soup designations will be here for more of the foreseeable future. (What will be next? Transparent shells?)

For the upcoming 2016-17 season, any designs listed as normal for the 2015-16 season will revert to designation “A”, even if there was another letter originally listed this year (applying to teams like Pittsburgh or Stanford), and any alternate helmet designations for these teams will be reset (applying to teams like Notre Dame, Idaho, and Nebraska), so there could be a “B” next season representing a different helmet from this season.

However, if Mr. Arey chooses to use different letters for certain helmets when they go upon the site, I will switch my designations accordingly for next year’s round.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who caught all the errors along the way. A big thank you to Jeff Taylor for completing the FCS orders, as well as the proofreading and compiling the helmet orders into a visual set. And a big thank you to Mr. Arey as always for creating the site and all the helmets, and providing the inspiration for the quest of a complete set for all colleges and universities.

On September 1, 2016, the next wave of helmet designs for the FBS will be incoming, and hopefully by then, there will be a lot less new designs to worry about.
