What is the obsession with mix-and-match unies nowadays? Just another by-product of our short attention span society?

I think it's just a reflection of the size of the budgets of these school's athletic departments. While I don't really think of Baylor as having the resources of say, Oklahoma or Texas, I'm sure they've got a big budget and can afford to have multiple uniforms if they so wish.

I would think that a team like Florida or Texas or USC could afford to buy new helmets and new uniforms for every game. Perhaps that's coming in the future, probably with Oregon leading the way.
