Uh. They have litigated. There are lawsuits pending on both sides. They have been ordered into mediation, and outcome is around the first week of february, if I recall.

Actually WVU is in the Big East Conference (look at the basketball standings) - they have been accepted into the Big 12 effective July 1st (or whatever the date is). Since there is uncertainty as to whether WVU will participate in the Big 12 this year, due to pending lawsuits, I see no reason to relocate them to the Big 12 until the ligitation is complete. If the lawsuits are successful and WVU has to remain in the Big East for another year the considerable effort of relocating them at the web site would be wasted.

It's a long ways off, but Navy has committed to join the Big East in 2015.

Memphis will announce that they are joining the Big East for all sports tomorrow. The move will be for 2013.

Also, even though they won't move until 2013 or 2014, the ACC has already decided that Pitt will be in the Coastal Division, and Syracuse will be in the Atlantic division.
