Subject: Troy vs. North Texas in the New Orleans Bowl
Troy has the opposite of their "C" helmet: red chrome shell, silver chrome facemask and stripe, red "T" logo.
North Texas has basically the opposite of their "H" helmet: matte green shell, silver chrome stylized eagle wings, silver chrome facemask.

If you don't mind, Bud, I would like to designate your thread as the outpost for the forty FBS bowl games this year, alright?
The helmet for the victorious Trojans is indeed new and is now designated “I”, while the Mean Green have used their design earlier in their tenth game; this design with “H” in reverse is already set as “J”.
The rest of the bowls played on December 16th showcased the following looks:

12/16 Las Vegas: Boise State (P) defeated Oregon (AQ)

The American Athletic and Conference USA representatives split the results of the last two bowls played.
Wednesday's Frisco Bowl had Louisiana Tech (G) pounding Southern Methodist (A1), and the next day's newly named Gasparilla Bowl in Saint Petersburg had a new design for Temple (U=“L” with a cherry mask, http://owlsports.com/galleries/?gallery=3093) in its win over Florida International (B), arrr.

Thank you, must have missed that. That design is the sixth one for the Mountaineers this year and has been set as “F”.

(And “Y” should a team wear thirteen different helmet designs in thirteen games? Oklahoma State is guilty of that, and Memphis may be so tomorrow…)
Four more days of bowls remain; today has four games (including a Wildcat war in Nashville); tomorrow and Monday each have five, with the national championship one week from Monday.

Among other highlights, Central Florida capped a perfect season, a Michigan loss spoiled the Big Ten’s chance at going undefeated in the 2017 bowl campaign, and New Mexico State took the Aggie war, winning their first bowl game since the start of the Helmet Project’s cutoff date of 1960.
Georgia and Alabama, as victors of the two semifinals, should most likely don their normal helmets on January 8 for the first championship game to feature two teams from the same conference. The wrap-up thread will be posted after the championship game concludes.
