They played a full schedule, apparently against mostly post-high school "prep" teams, or other newer programs. Angelo State and West Texas A&M are both Division II schools.

According to their website from earlier this year, they are attempting to join the NAIA and Red River Conference.

5 are junior colleges as three of them are part of the Community Christian College other campuses. The main campus is in California, and they got accepted to the NJCAA this year. Their first year to play got delayed.

Southern U.-Shreveport is playing their first year in football. They are already an NJCAA member.
