I have considered adding a section of "interesting" pre-1960 helmets to the website, possibly just reproducing photographs of them. "Interesting" would mean (to me) any helmet design with something other than just uniform numbers or stripes. I have no idea if there is any substantial number of such designs, and Hawai'i is the only team I can think of off the top of my head that did have anything "interesting" before 1960 (I think they had a "rainbow" at the front of their helmets for a short time).
