They are a private school, and not related to the 2 state schools. From what I can tell, they are going to the NAIA for a small private.

"Football Scoop" identified them as a future D2 here:

They are not even NAIA since they never sponsored sports before in their 101 year history. NCAA would not accept a start up, and the large D2 schools are ready to bolt if they add a very small school with only a little over 500 students.
