Thanks, I don't remember seeing that one before. It seems to be on all (or at least most) helmets, so that would likely count as a "helmet design" for the purposes of the website.

Arizona's 1976 yearbook has a few useful photographs. The wildcat logo is visible in one photograph where the opposing team is Texas Tech, but appears to be absent from all helmets during Arizona's first game (vs Pacific). Looks like I will need to look through the yearbooks of all of Arizona's 1975 opponents.

FYI, I've seen a couple of photos of the 1975 Arizona vs Texas Tech game mislabeled. If Arizona is wearing the home blue jerseys, it is the Texas Tech game from 1975 (bobcat logo on front present). If they're wearing white, it is the 1976 game. The bobcat was worn for at least the Utah, Texas Tech, and CSU games in 75, so probably a season-long design.

The few photos I've seen of the '76 season do not have the bobcat logo. However...check out this photo from an article about CSU's 1977 win over Arizona. It is clearly not 1977 (they had red helmets). It looks like 1975 because UA has the bobcat logo and "ARIZONA" on the backs of their jerseys, but in '75 the game was at Fort Collins. This is clearly a home game. So, maybe this 1976? Confusing.
