Ok I think traditional uni's need to be upheld, but that is a sick helmet. I love it.

thanks for the report! If accurate, the shamrock on that helmet appears to be substantially larger than the one worn vs Michigan earlier this year. Somewhat surprised to see Notre Dame participating in the alternate helmet fad - I thought they'd be the last team to jump on that bandwagon - I guess now that Penn State will be the last. But I do like that logo for them very much - it is simple, unique, and distinctly "Irish", and distinguishes them from the other plain gold helmet teams.

I would like the see that design used again, since I missed the Miami game. Would indeed be fun to watch them in those helmets vs Notre Dame in the shamrock helmets, though it might be a lousy game, considering how Maryland has played this year.

The shamrock logo is fine, but I'm not a fan of the patterned gold on the helmet or the green facemask...as a Notre Dame fan this just isn't "Notre Dame" to me. Thankfully I guess it's only once a year.
