Subject: Las Vegas Outlaws

The Arena Football League has added another franchise - the Las Vegas Outlaws, which are owned by Vince Neil, lead singer of Motley Crue.

If I am not mistaken, this will be the third Las Vegas franchise in the history of the Arena Football League. The previous franchises in the AFL that have called Las Vegas home are the Sting (1994-95) and Gladiators (2003-07).

If I also remember correctly, the Las Vegas Sting (later the Anaheim Piranhas) played its home games at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and the Gladiators played their home games at the Thomas & Mack Center (home of UNLV). I also remember that Las Vegas also played in af2 and their home games were at the Orleans Arena.

The Outlaws will play their home games at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Good luck, Vince, and welcome to the AFL, Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Outlaws was also the name of an XFL team. They must have bought the name from WWE, or perhaps the rights to that name lapsed.

You may have a valid point, Andy.
