Subject: Was the mystery helmet ever solved?

At one time, I believe a couple of years ago their was a photo of a mystery helmet that Charles was trying to determine what team it represented.
The photo of the helmet was actually on the main page of the HP site.
I think the helmet was white with possible stripes and an "O" logo that also may have represented a lasso?
Oklahoma PanHandle State was thought to be a possibility.
I was just wondering if any information was discovered on the mystery helmet. Thanks!

I never did hear from anyone who was certain which team that was, but I'm probably 75% sure it was Oklahoma Panhandle State, because: 1) I think you can make an "OPSU" out of the logo; 2) the helmet was white and OPSU has mostly used white helmets through the years; 3) I would expect its identity to be a fairly obscure school since nobody has claimed to know which team it is.

The photograph can still be seen at:

(you will probably have to copy and paste the url to the address bar of your browser to force the picture to appear)

Yes! That's it! Thank you!

I really like that logo. I can definitely see where the logo could represent Oklahoma Panhandle State.

Clear color photographs would probably solve the mystery

Speaking of OPSU, they are joining the Lone Star Conference in 2016. I don't see them in any other conference at this time, though. Their other athletic teams play in the Heartland Conference.

OPSU is presently an NCAA Division II independent team.
