If this is the case, we could see many public universities and colleges could be adding football in the future. Imagine California doing this? Several schools down there could restart football. As for these public colleges? Many of them are labeled as mid-majors or small are rather much bigger schools than most other universities. Liberty, Grand Canyon U., Central Florida, South Florida, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, UTSA, UTEP, Houston, Lamar, Cal.-San Diego, San Diego State, Fullerton State, Northridge State, Cal.-Davis, Cal.-Poly, Fresno State and many others like them.

This is a complete and utter waste of time and money. It's political grandstanding and will go nowhere, and is barely worth dignifying with a discussion.

Big 12 was really looking at Houston, TCU and BYU as the 12th team when they formed the Big 12 with the Big 8. Texas law makers pulled some strings in getting Baylor in when TCU was more on top of the list.
