I know it will happen my friend. I just think it's inexcusable -- here are some more examples, and Grumps, I know you go to games and see this too.

Here are some other examples of the selfishness on this team:
- During the IUPUI game, Pierre Dukes makes it a point to run through the Jaguars warmups during OU player introductions. (Granted it is stupid to have OU enter the court there anyway, but 13 other guys managed to run the sidelines.) Dukes runs through the Jags, smack into one of their players, then trash talks him. Well, the captain of the Jags went over to the OU warmups, grabbed Dukes, and appeared to give him a nice talking to. C'mon Pierre -- you're playing bad ball, you and your club don't need to do sh*t to rile up the other teams. Just play basketball.

-- Next, why do Mike and Rawle not wear the official OU warmup shirts? Mike wears a plain black T, Rawle a white one. Everyone else wears the "Oakland" black warmpup shirts. Why is this individuality allowed by the coaches? No other team in the league/COUNTRY allows two players to differ from the team. It seems like a minor thing, but think about it. It bugs the hell out of me.

-- Last year, Rawle and Mike were best pals. They even spent holidays together. This season seems different. They don't seem to be the buddies they once were. It appears to me that personal goals have taken precedent over teamwork and winning. Mike, you're not going to the NBA shooting 35%. Start winning ballgames again.

My observation: Kampe was a great DII coach, and is probably a good D1 coach. He knows the game. HOWEVER, he recruited players with more talent than he's ever seen. And I think he feels he has to cater to his stars, because 1) you lose them and it spreads like a cancer to the rest of the team and 2)they influence future recruits. Kampe has let this team get away from him. And because of Mike's and Rawle's clout on this team, they overrule him -- this year is done.

My advice: Next year, Mike's gone. Courtney Scott needs to be annointed the leader of this team. All the assistants (except Stephan) need to be fired. New assistants, preferably ones with both disciplinary coaching skills and the ability/trust to listen to players' opinions, need to be hired. And we have to install a syatem of basketball, not individuality, to get this program on track. I will renew my season tickets because I love my alma mater. But I won't put up with this garbage for much longer.
