I'm laughing...dude, I never get mad, really. I love this stuff. I absolutley love the Grizzlies program, and spend my first hour of work after gameday pouring over stats and wondering what was or could have been.

I wasn't around because of the holiday -- but I was in Section E1 for the Mizzou game.

Now, my take. What kept me up at night is the referreeing. How sad was it that the refs took the two best players -- Paulding and Helms -- off the court in such a critical game for stupid fouls? I mean, Helms 4th and 5th fouls were awful. Paulding's fourth was just a ridiculous makeup call. I thought the officiating for both sides got in the way of an excellent game.

Now, saying that, the officiating didn't lose us the game in my opinion. Sure, Helms would have made a huge difference in the end. But so would have free throws by our team. The game was ours...but Mizzou did what they do and pulled it out.

Overall, I think we played great. That's the team I expect each and every time on the court. There was solid effort by everyone (Jordan's block on Johnson at the end of the game was highlight reel material). Marshall played solid, Helms was on, Kelly Williams quietly had a good game. But my MVP, personally, was Scott. Eight assists, some very nice post moves, several steals. VERY nice game.

My biggest disappointment is still Ishmael. I know you guys mock my Larry Bird ratings, which is fine because I am a stat geek, but he doesn't do anything positive on the floor. He doesn't get assists, he doesn't score, and he's not quick enough on defense. I don't think he's living up to the hype we were all fed. But, it's still very early, and he's adjusting to D1, so I will not say he's a lost cause. I'd just like to see better play.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm wanted here. Like I said, I have great passion for the program. I love the Grizzlies. I may criticize harshly at times, but always know I'll support them 100%.
