We joined the PCC in 1971 (now Big West)

SJSU was our big rival... we played for a Bell (can anyone remember what it was called) in football from 1939(?)-1995
and then in basketball for a couple years...

Big West wise... I would probably say UCSB, but it hasn't been very heated since the "tortilla incident."

December of 1995, yes way back in 1919, attendance; we were losing millions a year because no one went to the games, so we started playing 4 home games and playing at major powers, but we still couldn't get enough money to keep the program alive.

I've heard these rumors, and I have never believed it. It would hurt us in more sports than help us. The only sport it would help would be basketball, and it would hurt our volleyball team majorly, which is the main sport at the school.
