RYAN BROWN NAMED HEAD WOMEN’S WATER POLO COACH

STOCKTON, Calif.— Pacific interim women’s water polo head coach Ryan Brown has been elevated to full-time head coach, according to an announcement by Pacific Director of Athletics Lynn King.

Brown just completed his first season with Pacific, leading the Tigers to a record of 6-19 in 2002. He had a full 2000-01 season, spending the fall of 2000 as the starting goalkeeper for the Tigers’ men’s water polo team, and the spring of 2001 as the assistant coach for Pacific’s women’s water polo team. Brown has been coaching at the high school level since the age of 18 and also served as a volunteer coach for the Pacific women’s water polo team in 2000.

“We were fortunate to have someone of Ryan’s ability already involved in our women’s water polo program,” said King. “He was an effective assistant coach and performed very well as the interim head coach this past year. I’m confident of his ability to continue to lead our women’s water polo program and move us forward.”

“I extremely excited to be moving forward with the women’s water polo program at Pacific,” said Brown. “The team has greatly improved in the past year, and will continue to make strides forward in the future.”
