Subject: PaperClip[ YoYo Idea

This was shared over at CraftSayings. I think it would be neat to do it with yoyo`s !

I love it. Sure looks easier than the one with the tutorial. Thanks a bunch. I will be going to walmart later today so will have to pick up some larger paperclips. Thanks a bunch for the idea.

Hi and thanks for sharing this variation...I saw the other one on craftsayings too and saved it.
May I ask about the size of circle you started with Julie for this please? Thanks.

Hi D♥reen ! It is a 3 1/4 circle and the clip is 2 inches.

Shilo posted this site on Craftsayings.

When I looked at it, I thought of Julie's yo yo paperclips. I was thinking you could make the lion and lamb (without the clothespin legs) into yo yo paperclips, too. Just make a yo yo for the mane of the lion or the body of the lamb, then glue on felt pieces for the faces and ears and wiggle eyes. Add the paperclip on the back, like Julie did and it's finished...lion and lamb paperclips!
Just another idea!
Patty

Cute idea Patty for kids and maybe for Bible school too.
Isn`t it neat how one thing can create something else !

Ok Julie one more question. What kind of glue did you use to make it stay on?

Hi Linda, the one in the picture I sewed on but found that to time consuming, so I just used hot glue for the others. Worked just fine.

I made 2 yoyo`s and put the paperclip between them. The backside I put the yoyo backwards so the back just looks flat.

That paper clip is just so clever. How cute would that be added to a scrapbook page..

Julie if you haven't thought of this already, it would make
a cute raggady ann...Flip the yo yo over to make the face
then use red fur fabric or a felt circle on the other side
of the clip for her hair.
If that works you could do the same thing for hair clips.

A few years ago my youngest kept asking for earmuffs which
were never available here so I made her a set of raggady ann
faces on either end of a headband. The only time she wore
it was in bed and I used to feel so sad for her thinking
that she was feeling so cold. It was not till later in the
year that I found out that she wanted them because we were
too noisy when she was trying to get to sleep. lol When I
made them none of my children recognised Raggady Ann as she
has never been 'in'( in Australia) during my childrens years.
