Subject: fabric cross

Hi everyone....beautiful day here. I have a question and hope ya'll can help...yesterday while out and about, I found a wonderful stuffed cross w/ a pocket on the front....it was about 12" tall and had a poem w/ it in the pocket that said something to the effect...that is was a bed cross and at night you said your prayers and put your troubles in the pocket....I am trying to find the poem...(which I should have copied while at the store .... it's too small for me to go back to right away...lol) but I thought ya'll might know something about this and maybe the pattern for the cross too....I know it should be simple, but I'm more "simple minded" when it comes to actuall sewing w/o a pattern...lol Thanks in advance, Kathy

I tried googling all sorts of things and can not find any thing at all that resembles what you are saying. Sure would like to see it.

No, Elly Jo, but thanks for posting this. The cross is made of fabric and stuffed...about 12" long....it has a pocket on it and this little poem was in it... I read it, but my mind didn't retain it...lol. I may have to go back and read it and may possibly spend the $$ to take it apart. It was selling for $19.50 and I really hate to spend that. Kathy, I made "prayer pillows" for my daughter, son-in-law, and all 5 of my grandkids...just a rectangular little pillow with a pocket on the one side and a poem to go with it. A cross-shaped pillow would not be hard to design...it's a simple T shape extended at the top. Email me if I can help you.

oops....lol fingers faster than thoughts....here is the poem I got from Linners (L.O.N.G.) I'm a little prayer pillow
Tho' small I may be
Someone who loves you
Thought you may need me.
Just put your prayers in my pocket,
Have faith in Goid and you will see
Your prayers will be answered
And your burdens set free.

She said that it is for personal use because she isn't sure where it came from. She used this on pillows that she made for her family....I am going to tweek it and put it on the crosses....Hugs, Kathy
