Hi Julie!
I saw that on TV this morning and was going to ask if it affected you. The news said it was a 5.4 on the Richter scale! Have you ever had one before that you felt?

Supposedly, we have small ones here in OK a lot, but I never have felt one. I think they are mostly in central OK, not NE OK where I am.
The only thing I can imagine it must feel like would be like when they were blasting through rock across the park from my house about 15 years ago. They were making the golf course on the other side of the park that is right behind my house. It was a rumbling and shaking that went from one end of the house to the other. It was pretty scary, too. I don't think I would like an earthquake, either.

Usually, there's aftershocks from what I've seen about them, but hope this morning's quake is the last for you all. Keep safe!
Patty

HHhhhiiiiii PppppATtttyyyy ! Yep it was something to wake up to at 5:38 this a.m. Have you ever had your`re washer spin off course ??? See we live in a moble home so maybe we felt it more ? The roof rattled like it does when it`s windy but there was no wind. Then the bed , ok have you ever been on a float in the pool and someone gets in the pool ?
Or maybe on a boat and your`re just sitting there and another boat goes by ??? It felt like waves and the noise was scary from the windows and the roof and everything else !!! Then after 11 a.m there was a shaking again an after shock .I remember one back in the early 80`s that one just shook for a couple seconds.

Hi Julie. I was a little worried about you till I read your second post.
Please explain: #1 washer spin off course. (Do you mean that
it kangaroo hopped across the room?)
#2 moble home (are you on stilts)
Sorry I am still trying to learn how to speak American. lol

You make it sound like fun, it would have scared me.
Glad to know that you are safe.

Bernadette

Bernadette you know I love you right ! That is so funny.

The washing machine spins and the house shakes but if I had a kangroo in my living room well that might just happen too ! lol... Those big old feet !

(Moble) Home maybe if I had spelled it right , must have been the shaking of my brain lol.... / Trailer Home not on stilts but blocks...

I think your`re very American , in Speaking that is ! lol...

Julie,Your spelling was not the problem. It's my mind, I made sense to me at the time.lol
I'll explain but it might just make matters worse.

'Have you ever had your`re washer spin off course ???'
#1 washer spin off course. (Do you mean that
it kangaroo hopped across the room?)
With my old washing machine the clothes would all shift to one side during the wash,
the tub being unbalanced would spin erratically and thump against the side of the machine
which would cause the machine to "kangaroo hop across the room".

'See we live in a moble home'
#2 moble home (are you on stilts)
We have mobile homes here as well but having see photos from
you front verander I thought you were on stilts/stumps,
like these Queenslanders.

The stumps served two purposes, firstly to elevate the houses for ventilation and secondly
to protect them from floodwaters, as well as termites and other pests.

My family now know not to try and follow the way my mind works.

Bernadette

Are you having aftershocks in your area, Julie? I saw on TV this morning that there have been about 15 since Friday's earthquake. I think they said one today (or maybe it was yesterday) was pretty strong (4.something) and in the same area. Just wondering how things are going.

Gosh I know it would scare me to death. I have never felt one here. My DH would like to move to Calif. but I told him I would write. I won't move there cuz I know the big one will happen as soon as I got there. I could write him or email him and thats as close as I get.
