Subject: Need advice about clays

I have collected some burr oak acorns and thought they would make cute hedgehogs. I'm thinking of adhering clay to the acorn itself, then pull a little snout on it and paint eyes, but I know nothing about clays. Do they need to be baked? how do I stick them to the acorn? Do they need to be painted? I'd appreciate your advice and comments. Many thanks.

Sorry, LuluTX, but I've never worked with clay either. Does it say on the clay pkg about baking it?

Actually, I was at Michael's this afternoon and purchased some polymer clay which has to be baked, so that process should work for killing the tiny varmints inside the acorn.
