Subject: Hanging leaves

I found this and it says to use bleached beeswax but I don't know why you couldn't use regular wax. I have seen flowers dipped in regular wax and they look good. Our trees are pretty bare by now so don't know if I can find enough pretty leaves to try it.

I have done something similar to this in the past......never hung them.....love that idea...but I did use regular paraffin wax......even used scents on them.....did a lot of them up, threw them in a basket, tipped it over, so it looked as if it got knocked over with leaves spilling out..and left my house nice smelling.....I had forgotten about this....thanks

Deb that is a great way to use them. I love the idea of adding scents to them. You people are so crafty.

Great link, Thank You Linda!
I dipped mine in glycerin and then press them but I didn't think of hanging them.
My friends used my leaves for making bookmarks, cards and to paint on. The painted leaves were framed and displayed as art pieces. I guess they could be used on candles, soaps and placemats too.
I didn't dry any this year, there's always next year. :)
