Subject: Help writing a "Santa, I can explain" letter

I'm kinda known for having an ornery streak in me because I love to give and do gag gifts and skits, mostly redneck.
Anyway, at a Christmas gathering I was wearing a shirt that said, "Santa, I can explain" everyone has seen those. A friend read my shirt and asked, "so, did you get any gifts for Christmas?" And I jokingly said yes but I had to go through a lot to get any. I explained that a couple of months before Christmas I received a letter from Santa's head elf that said I was on the naughty list, but if I would write a letter of explanation and send it back they would determine if that was a good enough excuse and if so I could get on the GOOD list. So I guess they believed me. So this lady I was telling this to was really believing me and asked me who sent the letter to me and if she could get a copy of it. I just told her I would talk to her later about it. Then I thought what a cute idea for next year. So what I'm taking the "long winded" way of asking is could you ladies
help me with ideas of how I should compose this letter.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
