Subject: Butterfly Garden Globe

I really like this idea. I know the "modge podge" works as I sealed a globe with it and it doesn't wash off and will work perfect for outdoors. I was using napkins on this globe and couldn't even scrub off with a "scrubber."

I'm wondering how you could use a Solar light but not sure that would work since it needs direct sunlight to work the sensor...but we have wired walk lights and could take the top off one and place the globe on it.."Maybe?"

That is a pretty yard globe and easy to make. I also liked the bread slice birdfeeders, but with the number of birds we feed daily, it would be too much work for us.

Hi Linners~

Glad you liked the projects for today. I know what you mean about the birds...I think when the weather breaks I feed them 3 times a day. I'm already saving bread and putting in the freezer for (supply & demand) bird feed! They have us trained that's for sure.

Did you know the birds will also each cooked spaghetti (no sauce of course) .. I tried it one night with some leftover spaghetti and to my surprise they ate it all (maybe they thought it was worms?) LOL!

Take Care and Hugs~ Joann

Oh I love this project and the seed paper flowers. Will keep looking for the bread slice bird feeders. That sound neat. I have a regular bird feeder and also have a heater in my birdbath. The squirrels drink from there also. Thanks a bunch.
Linda

Linda~

I can tell you like the "Birds" too. I'm fascinated with them and have actually had some pretty friendly ones here that came and took food from my hand...amazing!

Hi Donna~

I can tell you this...I used one of those "Giant Sized Plastic Christmas Balls" from Walmart last year. I scratched up the plastic ball and then applied the Mod Podge Gloss Lustre and then placed napkin pieces and applied with more MP Gloss Lustre sealing good... when dried I then applied a coat of Mod Podge Sparkle.

After it completely dried a day or so I took (held under water spigot) a kitchen "pot & pan scrubber" and it wouldn't budge. I even took a screw driver and it didn't even scratch the surface.

On the Mod Podge directions say to "Wet Sand with 400# Sandpaper until smooth. Wipe dry. Polish with #0000 Steel Wool.

I made 3 of these for Grandaughter's 2013 Prom. They were hanging outside and looked "Beautiful"

I gave them away when the Prom was over..actually I left most everything I made for the Prom..I think I was the only "Crafter" to hand make the props for the "Flower Shop" and "Jewelry Shop" that I signed up to do. It was a "Beautiful Night and Mom-Mom got to share!

Long story...I'm not sure it it would hold up outdoor. Sorry I couldn't be of more help Donna.

Take Care...Joann

I did see this but have not used it...Mod Podge Outdoor to make projects waterproof.
