Subject: What sort of small items do 4 year old boys love please ?

My grandson gets upset when he has to leave his father after his visits. I have started having a small treat bag for him to look forward to when he gets in the car to leave.
I did not want to use sweets & chocolates, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions please ?

Not sure if you have a Dollar Tree store or not, but lots of small ideas there. I put back a few of the white foam airplanes for neighbor children gifts, our Son always enjoyed them when he was small.They have a lot of small cars and trucks, glow in the dark items,washcloths that you put into water and they expand. childs billfold, childs sunglasses,Hat, foam visor, beach towel,beach ball, sand toys, Bath toys,small stuffed animal,bubbles,plastic drinking cup, kids plastic plate,small book,

Fay, how about puppets?
There are a large variety and you could give him one each time to add to his collection.
Puppets - finger, hand, stick, sock.
I like the ones made from faces cut out of family photos that are attached to an icy pole stick or chop stick. - cheap, easy, quick and a remembrance

boys of all ages like the whoopee cushions. They sell them at our Dollar Tree store. Also toy soldiers, bag of plastic dogs or dinosaurs. There are so many things in the toy aisle at the dollar stores that children like. Magic tricks also get to be a big hit as they get older.
