Thank you, Darlene!

My Dad has been moved to a nursing home in our town as of Wednesday about 3PM!!! YIPPEEEE!!! Mom and I have been out there about 3 times already. SOOO much easier to visit him here than having to drive about 20 miles to see him.

He's doing better and may be there about a month to finish his recovery. Mom and I had to go get him some clothes yesterday at the store for the nursing home. He's lost weight and always wears jeans, so we weren't sure what size to get him. He wanted sweat pants and T-shirts, for comfort and ease for them to check his wound. He was very happy to get them. Still not consistent with eating, but eating more than he had been, so we're happy that he's eating some anyway.

Mom's here at night and wants to go home during the day. So, I've been going to get her at night and taking her home in the morning everyday. She's afraid to stay there by herself, esp with storms around and we've been having them a lot lately. She has a cellar to hide from the storms, BUT the stairs in it are pretty steep and she can't get in or esp out by herself. The door is VERY heavy and she couldn't open it even if she wanted to.

Hopefully, Dad will get his strength back earlier than they think and will be home within a week or 2. I KNOW he is ready to go home. He's not one to like to be away from home for very long (a couple of days maximum!) and it's been almost 7 WEEKS that he's been gone from home.

Keep the prayers for all of us going! I really appreciate it!
Thank you and thank you to the ladies who sent me birthday cards! Nice surprise! :)
Patty

Patty, you and your parents have my prayers. I'm sure happy to hear that your dad is now closer which makes it much easier on you and your mom.

I hope all is well with our Julie too.

Has anyone heard from Julie recently? I know she was taking a break from her board for a while. Wish she would pop in and let us know that she is okay. I don't have her address or I would send her a card. Darlene, do you have the address? If so, would you please email it to me?
