Subject: Kool-Aid Pie

Have you ever had a Kool-Aid Pie? I hadn't until recently, but boy, are they good and easy!!! And with as hot as it's been around here (Oklahoma), it's just what is needed to cool down.
I have made 2 so far...Blue Raspberry Lemonade and Sharkleberry Fin. I liked both of them, but any flavor of Kool-Aid will work. I have plans to make an orange, watermelon, lemon-lime and pink lemonade.
Only 4 ingredients and takes about 5 min to get it to the refrigerator to chill.
Here's the link to the recipe: http://www.cookingwithlibby.com/2012/06/cherry-kool-aid-pie.html

Give it a try sometime!
Patty

"Thanks Patty"....
That does sound good and "Easy" too. I'm going grocery shopping this evening and will get the ingredients .. looks like something to take to the Labor Day Cookout! I think a can of Redi Whip to top off the edges of the pie will give it a special touch.

I also have just printed out this recipe from that link. I can see this with leftover Chicken and Turkey. I like to make casseroles when the weather turns cold and this really sounds like "comfort food" to me.

Thanks for sharing and Hugs~ Joann

Sounds like a winner. It is very similar to a pie I used to make all the time:

Cool Whip, a small container of any flavor yogurt & a graham cracker crust. Mix the wool whip & yogurt, then pour into crust. Put in the freezer till it sets up. So easy.

(((hugs)))

Made the kool aid pie this afternoon using Strawberry kool aid (not sweetened) and it was great! My grandson had too much homework to try it, but we'll see tomorrow... I thought it was VERY GOOD - I've made the yogurt and cool whip pie and it was great too...

Glad you liked the Kool-Aid Pie, Bonnie! I, too, used the UNsweetened Kool-Aid. I like all the flavors Kool-Aid comes in to make the pies different. Your grandson will have a "treat" this weekend and get to try it without homework.
