Hi Patty,

A nice project very versatile ...I'm thinking for the kitchen counter as a Sink Mat.

I'll be looking for the sink mats this week at the Dollar Store.

I've got plenty of leftover materials that could be put to good use making sink mats.

Denise and Sherry would most likely like a Sink Mat...so am bookmarking this now!

Thanks for Sharing....Hugs- Joann

Joann, I saw the sink mats at Dollar Tree last week or so. They were exactly like the ones shown.
I was considering making one for a shower mat for our camper. It has a VERY small bathroom and I wasn't finding a small enough rug to fit in it. However, while I was at Dollar Tree I found a tiny, thin rug, smaller than 1 of those sink mats. So, for just $1, I got one to try in the camper and it fits great. But, if it doesn't work out as a shower rug, I'll make one of these. I thought it was clever. I can never think this much "out of the box". LOL!!!

Hi Patty,

I'm going to check on Friday at the Dollar Tree and see if they have the sink mats...I really want to make and give to Denise and Sherry for their kitchen counter top.

Of course, I want to make one for myself and put on the kitchen counter next to the sink for a drying mat and will be measuring the spot I want to do and can make it fit this space...just a perfect craft and a useful one at that!

I'm wondering if the Latch Hook "gizmo" would work with using material strips...need to check this out as it would make pulling the strips through nice and tight.

Thanks for the heads up Patty. Looks like us girls have another fun project to do.

Hugs- Joann
