Subject: WeekEnd Craft Shows & Picture

I had a super weekend !!! The weather was a factor both days with rain but went well. Saturday was a street festival & Sunday was an Art Show .Both did well and i`m soooo out of things. My next show is`nt till June 14th. My hours have been scaled back at work , I`m just not able to work 11 hour days constantly on my feet at over 50 yrs old !

Here`s a pic of my booth on Sunday , it was set up the same
on Saturday .The flipflops sold like hotcakes ! Several people came looking for me on Sunday just to get flops . They had bought them from me last year. My purses sold well to. Spiders went good too.

There were birdhouses, aprons, jewelery every other booth. I
felt bad for them. Lots of odd windchimes, stones with names cut into them,teacup bird feeders that were on chains to hang loved them ! Clocks, wood toys,pottery,fused glass,doll clothes, lots of purses,crocheted towels, one booth with herbs in different containers took a pic of teacups with herbs ,lots of pictures .The show on Sunday had 146 booths !

Nice job, Julie! Glad you did well. Take it easier! Us "over 50 yr olds" need to remember we can't do everything we used to could do. Chasing after that 2 yr old great-niece is a constant reminder everytime I have her here! LOL!!!

Is that a tiny ladybug yellow garden flag I see??? What is on the green-covered riser behind it? It's very colorful.
Guess you'd better get busy re-stocking for your next show.

Hi Patty ! Good eyes, yes it`s a ladybug flag. I love Dollar General you can find the neatest things there. It`s stuck into a bowl of candy. I always have candy for the kids.It`s so funny , the kids will ask if they can have a peice and most adults just take one !
Bubble gum necklace is whats on the crate ! They sell like hotcakes.10 peices of gum tied on a ribbon.
I have friends who make higher priced items they make 500 - 1000 at shows.My highest item is 6.00, it takes alot of my things to make that kind of money.I did super so i`m completely out of alot of things.The flipflops on Saturday I had to shop all the way home finding shoes to make for Sunday. I made shoes all day Sunday.I said I would see them in my sleep !!!
I tell you what the old age thing does catch up to you.Tables and boxes and the tent are a struggle sometimes. It`s not so bad when you park at your booth.But when you have 2 shows on the weekend and in 2 different places takes it`s toll.I don`t mind 2 day shows in the same place.
I love what I do and I`m very thankful I get to do it.Last weekend made up for the last 3 shows !
Molly works tonight not sure what my schedual is, she will get it for me tonight.I don`t have another show until June and then 2 in July so I really need to get caught up !
I miss being here...

Julie glad you did a great job. Patty you got me beat. I missed the little ladybug but I like it. Thanks to you both.

Julie,
Thanks for sharing, you deseved a good $ sales show, a lot of work goes into it,that the public just doesn't know about, gas prices,looking for supplies, fighting wind, rain, canopies, parking etc.
Rest up ! You are lucky to have your daughter to help out! It is more fun with the two of you!

You have some cute items there. It's tiring to go to an all-day festival; so, I am sure that creating/having one is exhausting!
