Subject: Easter grass: 2 questions

#1 - I have access to that old, plastic Easter grass. What else can be done with it? (I was thinking to use it for stuffing toys, etc?)

#2 - What are some alternatives to traditional Easter grass for baskets?

Hi jazbo !
I have a friend that puts the grass in clear Christmas ornaments with faux pearls they sell.You can even do colors like for sports teams and make the sports ornaments.

This isn't exactly an alternative to Easter grass but I did see an edible grass down the Easter candy Isle at Walmart. It was interesting.

Scrunched up brown paper, tissue, wrapping paper, coloured magazine pages, fabric, wool.
If you wanted an additional gift, substitute the grass for- Hankies, scarf, tie, t-shirt, singlet.

I use the paper from my shredder. Also works nice for packing materials.

I use the grass in candy arrangements. It helps fill the bottom or inbetween and the colors add interest.
