Remember last year when I mentioned that I had seen these antenna ribbons? Well, I finally got around to making one.

3 spools of ribbon (your choice; school colors would be fun, too)
2 pieces of plastic canvas
I hope the picture is clear enough to see how many holes, etc. Cut the ribbon into 12" lengths. Use a double knot to tie them on where the slots are. It was 'stitched' together with a light-gauge wire. After it is slipped over the antenna, I secure it with more wire at the bottom.

Thanks so much, Jewels, for taking the time to post the picture. I know you are very busy.

Patty, the most time-consuming part is tying on the ribbons. I tried the rug-hooking technique but the ribbons worked their way loose.

It sure makes it easy to spot your vehicle in a parking lot, too. *wink*

Ok I understand how to get the ribbons on but for the love of me it isn't going into my head how to get it on the antenna. If some one would post a pic of it on or send me a pic I would probably understand. Somethings just don't go into this head of mine. Thanks for the idea

Dummy me! Sorry for the confusion. On the right, are the 2 strips of plastic canvas. The black dashed lines along the sides & across the top, are where the pieces are 'stitched' together with the wire. Leave the bottom unstitched so it can be slipped over the antenna, like a sleeve. I hope this helps. (((hugs)))
