Brian Herman won the round, RR on his first bull and then earned 88.5 of the RR bull. Unfortunately for "Pee Wee" he was unable to make the 8 second whistle on the Mossy Oak Shoot Out Bull.

Jim Sharp took home another victory this weekend in Ft. Worth. With covering the Mossy Oak Shootout Bull and winning this Bud Light Cup, Jim earned himself a mere $120,720 and moved back into first place in Bud Light Cup Points. Speaking of BLC points....Ross Coleman finished 2nd this weekend, moving him back into 2nd Place in BLC Points. As most of you know we are moving back to NC. My husband thinks this is a beautiful place to visit but it's just not home. We hope to be leaving out Monday. We should be home by Wednesday or Thursday. I'll let you know my new email address when I get home and get on line.

Hello Beckie, how have you been? Haven't talked to you in awhile hope everything is good. I haven't had the time to sit down and watch any of the bull riding this season :( So hopefully I will get the chance to watch it this weekend!!! One of my good guy friend was riding a couple of weeks ago and fell off and almost broke his neck :( Good thing that he is ok and was just left with a sore back and neck! How come all of a sudden, my mouse (wingman / Logitech) (PS2 or USB) catches and kinda gets locked and hung up as applications are processed. I changed the plug/adapter to the USB kind, still no good. Yes new drivers too ? Itzzzzz driving me mental !!!!!!#$%^&*(!@#$%

Dusty will be riding tonight in the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Challenger Tour Finals in Denver Colo. For 1/14/02 results Click Here... Wednesday night�s performance welcomes the top 45 bull riders from the first round who advance to compete in the second round. After a short intermission, the top 15 bull riders from rounds one and two compete in a final round to determine the 2001 U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co. Challenger Tour Champion. The bull rider with the highest total score on three bulls is crowned the event champion.
After this event Dusty will be in Pueblo CO for another US STC event on the 17th. Then it's off to Greensboro NC for the PBR BLC event..Busy week!

The Brazilian guys are far from stuck up. They are very nice guys. Paulo, Ednei, and Andre speak very limited English, but they are very friendly and polite. They understand English pretty good but they don't speak it very well. I've sat down next to Andre and had a short conversation with him in Portland. He didn't mind at all, he understood what I asked and tried his best to respond. Paulo just smiled and nodded when I tried to talk to him. And Ednei struggled along with his English but I figured out what he was saying. All and all, a good group of guys. I don't have anything bad to say about them. =)

Annie, my first instinct was to just be mad and say something that I probably shouldn't, as the Brazilians are friends of mine, but I can understand how a person might take their lack of verbal communication as snobbery. Anyhow, just to answer your question, the Brazilians are just about the nicest bunch of guys you could ever hope to meet. I can tell you from personal exprience that Paulo, Andre and Ednei understand English to an extent but have a hard time translating in English what they would say to a fan in their native tongue. It's not that they don't want to talk to the fans, it's that they don't know exactly how to say it. I hope that sometime you get to personally meet one of them, especially Adriano, they don't get much nicer and friendlier than him! I hope that helps explain things a bit better for you.

Sorry if my first message sounded kinda rude. I didn't think they were snobs, every time I have seen the interviewed on TV they are always very smiley. That is the main reason I asked, my sister said that they were snobby, I didn't believe her, so, we had been fighting about it for a week before I finally decided to ask people who had met them. Adriano speaks and understands english very well. He is always by the side of the other guys when they are being interview. And Candace will have to learn Pams tricks. She would have Adriano to ask the question before the interview and Andriano would intrepet for her. So when she ask the other guys the question she would already know the awnser. Candace will do a fine job with a few more events under her belt. These guys are very friendly and are great friends.

Annie...thats what this message board is for...to discuss PBR...im sure no one took offence to your question. Its just that so many of us here are friends with the guys.

I live in good ol' Santa Ana (the good part, not the ghetto, wait make that barrio, there are Mexicans, not blacks, hehehe). None of my friends are interested in PBR either so I just hop on the road and go by myself. Plus, I meet people at the events who enjoy PBR and we all meet up together at different events. It's fun. Anyways, feel free to email me some time. As far as I know, I'll be in Oakland, then onto Anaheim this month--well, as long as work doesn't conflict with Oakland. Talk to you laters.

Hi Guys,
We made it home o.k. The trip home wasn't as bad as going. But we still saw a bunch of snow. I had never been to Oregon. It was beautiful. I loved seeing Mt. Hood. We drove into Washington just because Washington and Oregon were the only two western states we hadn't been to.

Dusty made a good ride Friday but had a collision with the bullfighter after his ride and hurt his neck. He said it was still real soar on Saturday. With some advile and rest, I'm sure he will be ready to ride this weekend.

Thanks, Kris for posting results for us. I won't be going to Worcester this week... so if anybody is going and wouldn't mind calling me with results that would be great!

Thanks for answering my question. I met Dusty at the PBR in Portland and he seemed like one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He was happy to take pictures and sign autographs and was jokin around. It was just the coolest experience for me meeting him and seeing those guys there. Dusty did NOT get married.

Good news about Dusty's risk. He went in for a check up and the doctor did a MRI and said it was NOT broke. But did have a cyst on it. He says it feel's better and he hopes to be in Portland OR next week.

I have been ask to do a Q&A. I'll ask Dusty if he wants to and let you know. If any of you have any other ideas feel free to let me know and Ill run them by Dusty next week.

well, it's like this...justin was the first bull rider i ever met so he was my favorite by default when i started really following the pbr (can't have another favorite if you don't know anybody, right?)...plus, i found his website so i could drop by there and see what was going on with him...i've met justin before and sometimes he's a nice guy, sometimes he's somebody i just wouldn't want to be around (my opinion, don't hold it against me)...

now with dusty, i didn't really ever talk to him til nashville when he won...and when i did talk to him, he was really nice (funny too cuz i didn't know it was him at the time til somebody else told me, i'm really bad at names and faces)...everytime i've met him afterwards, he's been really nice...he doesn't have the big name like justin yet or the major sponsors but i see a lot of potential in him...dusty's a good bull rider and he's got the skills to be champion...plus, i see a lot of other good qualities in him...so he's a great choice for a favorite...=)

the fact that justin has a girlfriend doesn't really affect my pick on favorite bull riders...justin's nice to look at but that's about it for me...dusty's easy on the eyes too...but i'm not looking for anybody who lives on the other side of the country from me...i just moved back to california and i've decided i am never ever ever moving away from home again...so, that knocks out about most of the guys who ride in the pbr cause there are only 2 that i can think of who live in california and one of them is married...plus, they live in northern california, eewwww, yuck (southern cali is much better!)...

okay, i think i've said enough...boy, i got a little long winded on the topic...oh well, hope that answers your question...

Semi fan. Saw him in April on TV back home in Pittsburgh, Pa. Ww watch the rodeo a lot up here at school (Collge of the Holy Cross), was wondering why he hadn't been on lately, but this explains it. Hope for a speedy recovery!! Can't wait to see you competing again!

Sorry to hear about your broken wrist...I'm sure that has you a little bummed. At least you can say you broke your's riding bulls. I broke my arm in 2 places, bowling last year about this time. Yeah, I said bowling! Pretty funny huh? Actually it was funny but a bit embarrassing....I hope your wrist heals very quickly and that you are riding at 100% in Portland. Hello Beckie, how have you been I haven't talked to you in a while. We got some more snow today it is not alot but it is a start, so I will have to take some pictures and send them to you to show you the wonderful winters that we get in Canada!!! I also thought that while I was on the computer that I would have to check out Dusty's web site again! It looks great!

Well, I just got home from Austin and boy, was it a long trip. I must say, it's sure not as fun when your friends aren't around. Good thing I brought my own company. Beckie, I let Fuzzball drive part of the way home and I got some weird looks. Don't know if they were staring at me or him or both of us thinking we're nuts, hehehe.

I went all the way out there specifically to see Dusty ride and get some pictures, and he bucked off. =( I don't know who was more disappointed with Dusty bucking off both his bulls on Sunday, me or him. I wanted him to win so bad. I guess it was just an off day. And with Saturday, if they had done the top 15 instead of 10, Dusty woulda gotten another bull.

Another thing that got me was they didn't do autographs afterwards. I didn't get to talk to Dusty. =( And I wanted to get more random shots of the guys but that didn't quite happen the way I wanted it to. You know, I'm still not done with that roll of film from the Brad Paisley concert!

Oh well. Can't have it all my way. I had more to say but my brain isn't functioning anymore. Seventeen hours behind the wheel kinda fried it. My cat is bothering me to hurry up and go to bed so I think I'll do that. I'll come back tomorrow with more to say. Good nite!

How on earth am I going to survive Sunday nights without bull riding on until they start airing the 2002 season? Guess I will just have to watch the events I taped!
