I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really getting pumped up for our big game with the Highlanders this Monday. From what I hear, they are one of the up and coming programs in the nation. We will really have our work cut out for us, playing another game on the road and against a team that we know nothing about. Since becoming an elite team, everybody is aiming at us. We have a target on our backs and it seems the opposition is able to get up for us and always play their best game.

We have so much talent that it is becoming harder and harder for Coach Fran to give enough minutes to all our stars. So rapidly have Alex, Ronnie, and Edwin developed that it has put a pressure on deciding who gets to play. Michael is the best I've ever seen him (even two men can't guard him), Kenny is phenomenal, whether as the point or two guard, David is the most versatile big man in the league, and Tay just shoots lights out. Edwin, we hope, will be at full strength since it is well know that he plays so hard and sometimes leaves so much of himself on the court. What a wonderful dilemma to have so many stars to turn to. On the other hand, because of our breath of talent, some of our fans have been critical, saying we should play this guy over that guy, etc., etc. For me, I just say let the coach decide, because I know he is the one to see them every day in practice and, as I'm sure we all concur, we can place our trust in Franny.

Getting back to the NJIT game. Don't know how many busses are coming but they should all arrive early since seating will be limited. They might also want to get there before dark since it will give our traveling fans the opportunity to tour beautiful downtown Newark and see some of the sites not always available to us in Albany. Our buses will be leaving from the Rehab Center at 1:00 PM. We should all be prompt. None of you should have any conflicts other than Gomer who I believe is working some mornings as a crossing guard at the local grammar school. Feel free to bring your turkey leftovers from Thanksgiving. Water will be provided free, courtesy of the Capital District Waste Recovery Authority.

NJIT is big powerful, and talented, and plays with a lot of energy. We will really need to bring our A game when our very YOUNG Saints take this team on.

Go Saints!!!!

This is a chance for a lot of the Young Saints to have a special game.

Not only do we have special players but they all play with fire in their belly. They have learned how to suck it up and dig down a little deeper. I know we will grow as a team and gain confidence as the season progresses. We'll face some challenges but I know this team can play through it. We haven't seen the best of this team yet.

Did I mention that we're a young team?

The Special Young Saints are going to grow as the season progresses, but you have got to take it one game at a time.

It really comes down to who brings his lunch pail to the game. Michael certainly does_______filled with his favorite fries.
