Subject: Manhattan Meltdown

Finally Manhattan fans are seeing what other MAAC fans have known for two years. That Barry has recruited, for the most part, low level D-1 recruits, who aren't as good as other MAAC team recruits, and that Barry just may not be able to Coach at the MAAC level.

Will Manhattan beat Canisius on Friday night? I won't bet on it.

yeah the freshman Smith, originally committed to Seton Hall, Green originally committed to NC State and Gabriel who had other offers are really low major recruits. First full year he brings in the best total freshman class. get a clue

Hey Clue, with all these great recruits you'd think you can win some MAAC games! The fact is you have been blown out in your last three MACC games.

Let's reconvene in two weeks, and see how all this talent has done against MAAC competition. It's going to be ugly for your Jaspers.

thats what happens when you only have freshman and sophomores, you tell me fake ronnie who has a better freshman class than the jaspers, and Chris Smith has been around all of 3 games

have you even watched the jaspers or seen the freshman

I disagree that most of these recruits are low level Division I. He has brought in a lot of guys who will be very good players in this conference. The talent gap is not nearly as pronounced as you're making it out to be. In fact, I think he's done pretty well in terms of the talent that he has brought in so far. Guys like Gabriel, Green, and Smith are going to have solid careers in the MAAC, and he's done a great job of bringing in local talent and recruiting the Catholic League. If, when these guys are upperclassmen, they're still struggling, then you can bellyache. But this is a young team, and the talent disparity you speak of with regards to the Jaspers and the rest of the league just isn't there. Have some patience.
