Like I posted on the Canisius forum, we've been in D1 for only five years. You SHOULD have more national titles by now. After all, you've been playing D1 hockey since the Roaring 20s.

"And even though we had a very young team this year, we still beat Michigan 3 times, and we beat most of the top ranked teams we played at least once."

That doesn't mean dick because you didn't make the tourney. In the past two years, we made it to the Frozen Four and nearly made the tourney again this year (despite losing several key players on the blueline and in goal). What has Sparty done recently? Jack squat, that's what.

"We are in a real hockey conference."

I'm sure your NU friends will appreciate you saying that Niagara doesn't play in a real conference.

My friends on the NU board are very upset about being in the AHL, they wanted to be in a real conference like the CCHA, WCHA, or the East, NOT the AHL, which NU was forced into.

The 2006-07 season was a long time ago. RIT was just taking its D1 training wheels off then. Heck, we weren't even eligible for the playoffs that season because it was our transitional year.

Also, NU wasn't "forced" into any conference. The CHA folded, leaving NU with no other option unless they wanted to become an independent......and you saw how well that turned out for UAH this year.

An AHA championship

A Frozen Four appearance

So no, you're wrong. RIT has won something. Even Michigan State, with all its inherent advantages, haven't made it to the FF recently.
